Lenovo has commenced its primary Android-powered
laptop, the Lenovo A10. The Chinese PC maker has not exposed the pricing and accessibility
information of the laptop but only mentions that the pricing and availability
will vary as per region. It's worth pointing out that Lenovo dropped the
'IdeaPad' moniker from its first Android laptop, and is simply dubbed the
'A10'. The Lenovo A10 is a dual-mode convertible laptop with a 10.1-inch HD
touch screen with 1366x768p resolution.
The Lenovo A10 laptop falls in the same segment as the
Ativ Q from Samsung, the SlateBook x2 from HP and the Transformer Book T100 by
Asus, albeit it isn’t as powerful as its opposition. Lenovo highlights that the
device is powered by a RK3188 chipset that has a quad core Cortex A9 running at
1.6GHz and Mali-400 MP graphics. The notebook features a dual mode convertible
design which is made possible by a rotating screen.
Additional key specs include a Rockchip RK3188
quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, up to 32GB of storage, Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean
OS), microSD card slot, HDMI port, two USB 2.0 ports, VGA webcam and stereo
speakers.
