Lemon Mobiles, an Indian mobile brand, has
launched a new 3D mobile phone called Aspirational A3 smartphone, priced at Rs
12,000. The A3 runs on a 1 GHz dual core processor and promises glasses free 3D
viewing. The phone will compete with Micromax Canvas 3D in the Indian market.
Along with the price advantage
Micromax's offering bigger 5 inch
display, a 2000 mAh battery and more advanced Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating
system. However, the Lemon offering comes with better RAM (Canvas 3D has 512
MB), better camera (compared to the 5 megapixel unit on Micromax), and also
better display resolution (Micromax gets WVGA 800 x 480 pixel resolution).
However, if Micromax Canvas 3D is any experience to go by we don't think the
time is right to launch 3D phones.
