Facebook is functioning on a mobile news reader application comparable to Flipboard to display content from assorted sources in a magazine-style format, the Wall Street Journal said in a report Sunday.
Reportedly, Facebook will roll out the application for
mobile devices; there is no information on the web edition so far.
The internal name creature used by Facebook for the
project is Reader. In all possibility, the company will modify the name before
it rolls out the application.
With the current beginning of hashtags and the
re-design before this year of the Facebook news-feed, CEO Mark Zuckerberg said
that he desires the site to be "the best personalized newspaper in the
world." Facebook's mobile users now usually pop in now and then for a
