Sony Cyber-shot DSC-WX300 has in recent times been
launched in the country by the Indian subordinate of Sony. This newly released
Digital Still Camera is said be to the smallest and lightest 20x zoom camera of
the world. Although the manufacturer has launched it officially, it will make
it presented in the market sometime in Mid-May. However, other than a bit
availability details, Sony has unveiled its price as well. The brand new Sony
Cyber-shot DSC-WX300 camera is priced at Rs.19990/-.
Key features of the camera include 20x optical zoom, an
18-megapixel EXMOR R CMOS sensor with a Sony G Lens and Optical SteadyShot to
avoid snapping blurry images. It also supports Full HD video shooting and
continuous capture of 10 frames per second.
Given the connected lifestyle of today's consumers,
most camera companies are now launching Wi-Fi enabled cameras. Even Sony
Cyber-Shot WX300 falls in the same category. Not only one can right away share
the pictures clicked through this camera, but you can also use your Smartphone
as a handy wireless remote to control the camera.
With its Intelligent Sweep 3600 Panorama mode, you can
now capture eye-catching panoramic images. You just require pressing the
shutter button and sweeping the camera in any direction and letting the camera
do its work. It will then shoot images at a high speed and will then stitch
them and you’re done. With its long-lasting battery, you can get up to 500
clicks per charge.
Apart from these hardware specs, the camera also has a
number of gimmicky software features like the “Beauty Effect” that
automatically re-touches faces in photos to remove skin blemishes, widen
half-closed eyes and whiten teeth. Kind of like an inbuilt Photoshop.
There is also an inbuilt Instagram of sorts, where
users will be able to apply a limited number of filters to their images –
excluding that this is being called the “Picture Effect”.
The tiny camera will measure roughly 96mm x 54.9mm x
25.7mm and weighs just 166g.
