Nokia has released Asha 501, the first phone from a new
family of Asha phones that will run a revamped operating system that Nokia is
calling the Asha platform.
The Nokia Asha 501 will start shipping in June, and
will be available through around 60 operators and distributors in over 90
countries
The Nokia Asha 501 phone's price is $99, but will be
free on network price plans (we'd suppose at the lower end of the scale). It
will come in black, white, green, red, blue and yellow and will appear in the
UK sometime towards the end of summer. Stephen Elop confirmed that it will hit
India first, incoming next month.
The smartphone has a lot of pre installed apps such as Facebook, Twitter.
Nokia has counterfeit a special deal with Facebook to ensure that users can
share photos directly to Facebook. The smartphone also comes with the Nokia
