Updates released important to its iPhone and iPad applications yesterday which
it says will "play an important role in eBay Mobile's year to come."
The ecommerce platform also said that 1.8 million new customers joined eBay
through a mobile device in the first three quarters of 2012 and eBay Mobile at

The
iOS applications updates are geared toward taking eBay’s mobile business even
higher by making it easier for customers to buy and sell products using their
iPhone or iPad. The eBay updates combine mobile cameras and editing, and
streamline the listing process by making uploading photos and item descriptions
simpler. For sellers, the updated app includes new step-by-step category,
pricing and shipping guidance for items listings, and the skill to save draft
versions of multiple listings so sellers can start their listing on a mobile
device and then finish them off on PC (helpful for vendors who want to write
longer item descriptions), or vice versa.
Last
added characteristics include more complex search abilities with auto-complete
and faster checkout. The faster checkout allows buyers to examine and certify
obligations on one screen, and provides first-time consumers the choice to pay
for via charge card rather than PayPal.
The
eBay’s Vice president of mobile Steve Yankovich told TechCrunch newly that
mobile has considerably transformed the way in which eBay persons conduct
transactions, with one inch three consumers utilizing their phones or pills to
browse entries even when they complete the purchase on the PC. 12, 9 was eBay’s
single-greatest mobile shopping day ever, with U.S. transacted mobile volume up
133 percent from last year’s greatest mobile shopping day, 04-Dec-2011.
