Yahoo acquired in October commendation app called
Stamped. The attainment was Yahoo's first after Marissa Mayer took accusation
as CEO of the company. The Stamped product iPhone app that lets people keep track off and
commended things like restaurants and books will, though, be suspended by the
end of this year, and users have been recommended to download their data from
the website.
Continuing CEO Marissa Mayer's march toward all things
mobile, Yahoo has obtained tiny mobile video chat startup OnTheAir.
Yahoo instant up the San Francisco looked startup

Yahoo incorrigible the achievement, its second since Mayer took over as chief administrative

team at Yahoo, it was clear that everybody there is committed to making mobile

"Our top priority is a focused, coherent mobile

Like its "acqu-hire" of Stamped, this attainment
appears to be geared more toward snagging engineering talent than technology.
In addition to one former Google employee, OnTheAir's team includes former
employees of Apple and instant messaging service Meebo.
"Hiring the most talented mobile product thinkers
and engineers is a big priority for us moving forward," Adam Cahan,
Yahoo's senior vice president of emerging products and technology, told in a
statement.
The mobile market is growing speedily, and Mayer has
said the space is integral to Yahoo's future expansion.
Neither company exposed the financial terms for the gaining
of OnTheAir, which lets users manner video chats in talk show format. Yahoo
also did not say whether it would suspend the service, as it did with Stamped,
a recommendations engine built by previous Google colleagues of Mayer that
Yahoo acquired in month of October.
